I did what I thought was right at the time of the of the divorce I have no job because I was a stay at home mom and no place to live because I left the house and left him with everything so I did not want to disrupt their lives and I wanted them to have a constant environment so I was signing temporary guardianship to her and she has made it living hell for me to see my children I called the court and found out that she had filed all the paperwork had me served at her house and they said I never showed and I was never even aware of any of this she had her cousin come over and notarize something that she told me was just so she could make medical decisions in school decisions while this was going on and the only reason that I went there and sign that it's because my ex-husband had threatened me and I was there in tears and couldn't even read the paperwork which was one page that I signed and I have eight documents that I got copies are from the court I just need help because they have a ton of money and they tell my children that I don't want to see them and then if they come live with me I can't afford to take them to doctors and they're literally trying to turn them against me.
That's one very long sentence. Take a breath and try to schedule some consultations with family law counsel in Dallas County. You need family law counsel to assist and represent you with filing a modification of parent-child relationship. Your intentions were in the right place, but now your good intentions have apparently come to hurt you and your relationship. It is unclear but there may be a bill of review in there for some improper if not fraudulent acts. Consult and go through with some family law counsel. Try to get representation.
Thomas J. Baker of Baker & Tisdale PLLC principally practices in the Central Texas area, including Bell, Coryell, McLennan, Milam and Williamson counties. The advice given here is not and ahould not be taken as a substitute for in-personal consultation with counsel, particularly where legal documents, such as court orders need to be reviewed. I am Board-Certified in Family Law but not in any other areas of practice.
