The question specifically is number 22,24 and 25. I was age 21 or older when I was shopping at the departmental store Sears and was apprehended for shoplifting a ladies watch. When taken to the back office I apologized profusely and was sent away by paying a fine of $500 and strictly cautioned against committing this type of mistake again. I was not arrested and was told this would not go into my records. But now while I am going through my application in detail I am reading the question in detail and am really worried if as I have answered ‘No’ to the said questions will I still before going under oath have to admit this wrong that I did even if it might not have gone into my records at the time of interview? Also please advise what explanation I should give for answering a ‘No’ to the question. In all honesty I never thought that I should write a ‘Yes’ as there was no written record of the incident. I am very worried and don’t know what to do in this situation. Please advise. Thank you.
This is an immigration question. so I am switching you to that section.
