They refused to see me until we paid but we weren’t due to pay yet. (Western dental in el cajon on 2nd street btw) we also had braces for my brother the plan was for the braces to move a tooth to fix a gap ($5000) then they said he NEEDS a tooth implanted on top of that when we confronted them about it they didnt know what to say. I do believe they are truly scammers. they “accidently” put the money in my brothers account sometimes to try and make me miss my own. The list does go on i just dont know what to do i truly need help at least advice. My credit will get hurt if i leave but i dont have much of a choice
You may have a case that could entitle you to compensation. Western Dental May have committed collection and credit reporting violations as well as unfair practices. I recommend you get your situation checked out for free by a Consumer Protection Attorney soon!
While this question was listed as a consumer protection question and certainly has strong components of that issue, I believe what has been reported here has a medical malpractice aspect to it as well. The practice of dentistry is also the practice of medicine. Most states require the filing of a formal complaint with the medical regulatory authorities before an attorney can file suit for malpractice. However, attorneys practicing medical malpractice law can advise you on the preliminary steps to start the ball rolling.
