I gave a car salesman over $2000 as a down payment on a lease. On the contract that I signed, it says that total due at signing was $400, and that is all that the leasing company received. There is no recollection of the $2000+ paid to the salesman as it was an EFT directly to the salesman as he said that the cash transaction would be the best deal for me. I know that the dealer pocketed the money, and yes, I did sign the contract. What legal action can I take?
