I recently got a ticket for 32 over the speed limit. I called the court and asked for a court date because I can't take those points. so i called and after a month of not getting anything in the mail for a court date, I get a notice that says I didn't make a scheduled appearance and answered the citation and that I have 7 days to pay the ticket. is there any way of fighting this still or am I screwed with the points
Yes, if you just pay it, accepting responsibility, you will get all those points. You should be able to still fight or resolve the ticket with fewer points assessed. Consult an attorney about the matter, be sure you have the ticket and any correspondence you have received from the court.
Consult an attorney to try and reduce the amount of points assessed. You want to try and keep your driving record as clean as possible as this will affect your car insurance rates as well.
