Filing out a financial declaration for a child support hearing. Mom and child are temporarily (but long term) staying with grandmother and grandmother pays for a lot of things for the child, but taxes are filed separately, etc. Does the grandmother's income have to be disclosed on the financial declaration as another adult in the household?
Yes, the grandmother's income should be disclosed. However, only the parents' income will be considered for the purpose of calculating the child support obligation per the Washington State Child Support Schedule. If a deviation is requested, the court may consider the grandmother's income as a factor in determining whether or not to grant the deviation.
