Hi, I am an F1 student currently under my OPT period working for a reputed company here. I recently applied for dependent (F2) visa for my wife but she was rejected under 214(b). The Visa office did not look at her file or documents. He just asked her about me, my job, where I studied and how long I have been here, then she was rejected.
I am planning to try once more. I am willing to take legal help if it helps.
It is possible that your wife did not convince the VO that her ties to her country were strong enough to overcome the immigrant intent presumption and qualify for F2.
The F2 as the F1 requires proof of ties to your home country. an attorney might review her application and provide guidance.
Yes, I suggest consulting with an attorney for full review and analysis.
