My dog was stolen from me and initially we thought she ran away. We recent got proof that she was stolen by family friend and sold to someone else. The dog was too young to be registered so she didn’t have state or county tags. We have records in my name from where I had taken her to the vet when I had got her. We have all proof we need to prove she’s my dog. The only reason athourities quit looking into the case is because we can’t physically prove the family friend stole her even though 3 witnesses put her in the house but nobody was home.
Discuss bringing a conversion action against your "family friend" and a replevin action against the buyer with an Ohio attorney.
Use Avvo and/or your county bar association to find one.
