My husband is being accused of sexual relations of some sort 5 years ago with his ex-girlfriend's little sister. She decided to tell her family one night when she was under the influence of alcohol and tried to commit suicide. She claims that it has happened more than once. I'm just curious as to What to do next because this all came out of nowhere so randomly.
Quite simply put, he should speak to absolutely no one about this other than a criminal defense attorney. Remain silent, consult with an attorney, and if contacted by police, say nothing. If charged, hire an attorney or have he court appoint one.
While it might have come out of nowhere from your perspective, it sounds as though the sister has been troubled by these alleged acts for a long time. Your husband should talk to a criminal defense attorney, and he should not talk to anyone else.
