Our family put in an application for an apartment, we paid $100 application fee for all four of us. Then they come back saying there is a problem with the credit that my son has a eviction on his record so we don't qualify for that apartment complex but they have another complex that we would qualify for well first of all my son does not have an eviction on his record because he's never been evicted and the apartment she wants us to look at is not in a good neighborhood. So we're good enough ro live in the ghetto, but not good enough to live next to her. She said that maybe if we show he wasnt evicted.
I would ask to see the report showing the eviction. If your son has a name in common with a lot of people someone with the same name may have the eviction. The landlord has no way to know. If the landlord pulled a credit report and used information on it to deny your application then you have the right to a copy.
