May have a chance for a job,but l have a simple battery charge in Georgia.my past partner and l got in an argument about being unfaithful.there was more so verbal abuse than a hit or lick of any.the police was called on me,when l would question his behavior.l was grown but young at the time, his family was 6 against 1 and l would get looked at as the bad guy, this relationship finally ended in 2005 after 16 years and two kids.how can l get a pardon or record sealed for this? Can the Victam help.do l need a lawyer?
I would need to see a copy of the disposition of your case (can be obtained from the clerk’s office) and a copy of your criminal history (from Sheriff’s Department) to see I anything can be done.
If you were over 21 at the time and have no other convictions then your only option is retroactive first offender. Yes, you will need a lawyer.
