My 4th amendment was violated by a detective multiple times. It started with an illegal search of my phone that had no warrant and no permission and he told me he can do what ever he wants when I told him I did not permit him to do so. Then now after my phone was cleared and was supposed to be released back to me a month ago when I went to pick it up when he said I could when I got there he laughed and said I couldnt have it. I find out about almost 3 weeks ago that hes claiming that after my phone was already cleared and said could be released back to me that he magically days after my phone was cleared to be released said he had a search warrant but never notified me of it directly i found out through a 3rd party who also has never seen this warrant or even showed me a warrant or anyone else whos questioned about it. And now for about 2 weeks he won't return calls, communicate nothing and my property was still not released
4th amendment rights are important. Your 5th amendment rights are also important. Including your right not to being forced to make incriminating statements against yourself (remain silent), and your right to having an attorney represent you. If you cannot afford to an attorney, you may have an attorney appointed for you (to best present the constitutional arguments that may arise during the travel of your case). If you wish to retain an attorney to advocate for the return of your property, you are free to retain any one of your choosing whom likewise agrees.
