My utility company has shut off my services, will not restore until I pay old bill. I have been without gas service for almost a year I have paid all of my bill since 2014. I talked to them and faxed all of my information pertaining to my bankruptcy and discharge of my debts they still are still refusing. Is there anything that can be done.
Your discharge only affects utility bills you owed prior to filing bankruptcy. It's not clear from your post if the utility is billing you for pre or post bankruptcy utility services. If the utility charges were incurred after you filed your Chapter 7 case, they were not discharged and you still owe same. If the utility is trying to collect pre bankruptcy debt, it is likely in violation of your discharge order and you or your bankruptcy attorney can file a motion to reopen your Chapter 7 case and then pursue claims against the utility company.
