Have an attorney go into the court in the other county and see if the case can be disposed of without his presence- If not, perhaps bail could be imposed and then you could bond him out with a promise to appear in the other county.... If you don't accomplish either, he could be waiting for a week, or even a month before being transferred between counties.
Unfortunately, nothing at this point. The other county has effectively promised to come get him to face charges over there. He will sit where he is at until they do so. At that point he'll see a judge and may get a bond, at which time you can bail him out.
