When i got married to my husband, he had his mother's last name. He filed for his last name to be changed to his fathers last name. When we got married the papers where already sent but never got a respond soon enough. When he got his new birth certificate stating the last name change. So the person i got married does not have that last name no more. I have a notarized documentation stating that is the same person. When i tried to change my name to his now last name. They told me i couldn't because the marriage license says this last name. What can i do to change my last name to my husbands new last name.
