My dentist asked for my SS# so they would see my dental plan and coverage. They told me my insurance covers 80% and gave me a paper saying this is my portion and this is the insurance portion. I then got a bill for $500 because my insurance did not cover because they are out of network. I understand it’s just an estimate but a 500 difference is huge. I feel they lied about my coverage just to get my money. This is unethical and wrong. What can I do?
You can't do anything. You should have paid attention to "in-network" and "out of network". You can't blame your dentist for your oversight.
