My husband and I are been trying to complaint against a deputy sheriff in Ascension for wrongfully arrest my husband after trying to accuse him of DUI. My husband was rear ended by a black women and the car was pushed towards the car in front of him. Our Mercedes was totaled, but the airbags never deployed. He hit his head. The deputy from Ascension was trying to force him to write down a statement after he hit his arm & head with the steering wheel. I explained that he had 3 surgeries on his wrist last year and he got hit again. The deputy was rude and was trying to force him to write a statement and asked me to leave because I wanted to help him write the statement and I questioned him for forcing my husband to write with his impaired hand. He used the breathalyzer and a total of 7 sobriety test on my husband. He passed everything except the one in where he made him walk in uneven gravel after he hit his head. He got arrested for DUI and spend 3 nights in jail. He got beat up by inmates. He was released on Monday with no bail bond after I talk to the judges office. I complained with the deputy bosses, but they are siding with him, even that the violation got cleared.
