I purchased a truck,, I have receipts and Bill of sale,,but no title. The owners were a man and wife,, the man (primary on title)) has passed away,, and the wife claims they refinanced the truck after they sold it to me and has moved to Texas,,( she refuses to discuss the situation with me or anyone) the insurance company is finding no lien against the VIN. I DON'T want to prosecute this little old lady,,,but I also don't want to lose my truck which I paid $4500.00 for.
If a seller of a vehicle fails to provide title within 30 days of the sale the sale is voidable.
The answer above is only a general statement of the law and not intended as legal advice. It is your responsibility to retain a lawyer to analyze the facts specific to your particular situation in order to give you specific legal advice. It is not meant to create an attorney-client relationship. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
