I recently purchased a money order and I no longer needed the money order so I went to cash it back in. I signed a different last name than my own on the money order & now they won't allow me to cash it. I have the money order and the receipt as proof that it belongs to me but they are still refusing to cash it in. I called the 800 number on the money order and they are giving me the run around. Can you help advise me on what I should do? Thanks.
Under the name you signed the money order, sign Pay to the Order of: THE NAME THAT SHOULD BE ON THE BACK. Then sign the name you signed on the back. Then deposit it in your bank account or try and cash it somewhere else.
