So I was an independent contractor and without notice my contract was terminated by the publisher due to what they claim is a material breech. April 2 2018 was icy and I could not get out to deliver my papers, so I called the front desk to tell them my situation I told her my heat wasn't working and it was to icy for me and my 1 year old to get out. She said okay but try to deliver later in the morning. I attempted to deliver and it still was too cold and icy. I called my publisher back and said I could double deliver the next day if that was okay and she said that was fine and she would let my customers know. So I continued my day not knowing they terminated my contract due to it. I got up for work this morning and drove around for an hour looking for my papers in different drop locations for about an hour. In the contract they can claim material breach and terminate me without 30 days notice due to me not delivering on April 2nd even though I called and got the okay but nowhere in the contract does it say they do not have to inform me of my termination. Now they will be keeping my weekly pay and my sub pay I did over the weekend. I have no clue what to do.
Those accusations aren't false - you didn't deliver? What's false?
