Purchased 4 family two years ago. The car was left in the garage when purchased. Only one tenant was living there and it wasn't hers. The last landlord said the last two tenants were evicted for not paying rent, he didn't know who's car that was! It has classic plates.
I am not certain that I understand your question. If the car is still at the landlord's place, you should file a lawsuit for replevin--an ancient word meaning to get your property back. If the care is no longer at the landlord's place, then you should sue the landlord for money damages.
