My Mother recently just passed away. She had credit cards taking out in my name and was never late on paying them but she just passed and now I am stuck with Debt in my name for Cards I didn't create. Can anything at all be done about this
If the cards were in your name and you knew about it, then you are responsible for the debt. If her estate has assets and the card expenses were validly for her, then the estate should reimburse for those expenses. Your problem is that if the estate has insufficient money, the credit card company will come back to you personally.
