So about 2 weeks ago I was held pretty much hostage in my home by my ex and her family/friends I dialed 911 about 12 times to get someone to come out I wasn't able to talk due to my ex and her family/friends being there and not letting me I was threatened I feared for my life and not one officer showed up nor did they try to call me back is there anything I can do about this
If you filed a police report immediately upon your release, and thereafter got restraining orders against these people, you may have some kind of personal injury claim against your ex and her family/friends. As you did not appear to be physically harmed, it is unlikely you have any claim against 911. You would need to consult with a personal injury attorney, and do so very quickly as these kind of claims have strict deadlines and processes that must be followed. And you really need the tapes of the 911 calls as well as your phone records to preserve that evidence.
Responses are for general information purposes only, and are based on the extremely limited facts given. A consultation with an attorney experienced in the area of law(s) indicated in the question is highly recommended. Information and advice given here should not be relied upon for any final action or decision, as the information is limited by its nature to the question asked and the fact(s) presented in that question. THIS RESPONSE DOES NOT CREATE AN ATTORNEY/CLIENT RELATIONSHIP, particularly considering that the names of the parties are unknown.
Not much about the police reaction especially if you couldn't talk. On the other hand you should still make a police report
