I need help. My father recently had a stroke. He was is good care. I found a great place for him to go. My mother decided to put him in a nursing home. Now they are ripping her off. They took $5000 to fill out Medicare paperwork. They then said she had to pay $3000 for a lawyer to get power of attorney. He needs to be in the stroke center.
They are ripping her off and he isn't getting the best care. I need to fight to get him out of there.
First of all they cannot tell her which lawyer to get and how much it will be. She should retain her own attorney independent of these people, and then see what's going on.
