I got a seatbelt violation a couple years back and never received the ticket in the mail nor a letter stating i had to go to court, now that my license needs to be renewed they stated i have to pay for the ticket. Is there a way i can fight this
You can go to the clerk of the Court, have them pull your file and look in the docket entry as to whether an "ex parte" judgment was entered. Your best bet would be to consult with an attorney who practices in the area of traffic law.
if you received violation- that was all the notice you need to receive. The court does not have to send you anything.
