OK my mother passed away 5/7/16 and she was married to my step father for 28 years, I was at the time living in the same home with them and my children. My step father and I never seen eye to eye and we got into.it one morning and he had me arrested for domestic assault, but I threw a coffee cup across the room after he had had gone down to the basement floor well he told the police I threw the cup at him so he lied about that... Then while I was being detained the officer ask him if he would take care of my animals (3, a degu, guinea pig, and dog) he told them yes! Well part of my bond agreement was to vacate the home, which i shared with him. And could not get many of my thngs but he proceeded in a months time to give away my 3 animals and threw away a lot of my personal belongings and Now he will not let me get my things and will not tell me where my animals are. Also my mother passed without a will so I'm not sure what I'm entitled to of hers. I also think she had a life insurance policy, but he would never tell me if I were to get any money from it. How can I find that out? This has cost me many things such as my job!! Please help! Jennifer...
You should contact a local probate attorney ASAP before any estate assets are gone, and a criminal defense attorney to see what actions you can bring against your step father.
