I am 16 years old I went to the mall with my friend who is 15 and she took a huge amount of clothing most likely worth over 400$ and I wasn't the one who cut the tags she did but gave me the pants to put in my bag. Later we went to the next store and I told her do not take from there and that we would get in trouble. I was outside talking to the employees the whole time, and the employees even confirmed that to the police. My friend had walked out asking to put a shirt on hold and the employee grabbed her bag out of her hand and started searching for stolen clothing. she did that because she saw a "champions" logo in her bag. They found stolen items, and turned to me and said they needed to search my bag. They found one item in my bag which was the pants but I did not cut the tags off, I just put it in my bag because she told me to. My friend tried to blame me for a bunch of her items, But i only put one in my bag, and had no idea of the other really expensive stuff she took. What can I be charged with? Also could the employee get in trouble for invading privacy?
