My mother claimed that a now-deceased man is my father. To make matters worse, she is now dead as well. I was born overseas, but they allegedly knew one another in New York. I don’t fully believe her, and I do not want a scandal or a mess while trying to find out if what she said was true. If it is, I do not want to be treated as though I don’t exist regarding any assets just because she and he both were irresponsible with their family planning. That is not my fault and is something he should have thought about before being irresponsible with her—if that is the case. No one else gets to have kids with strange women and not support them. He shouldn’t be an exception even if she was irresponsible enough to think she could handle things on her own. The disrespect of it all is astounding.
If you can find any of his relatives, a few DNA tests will show how related you are to them.
