Should employees still be required to go into work if there is a bed bug infestation?
You need to make an immediate formal complaint and at the same time, and this is important, you need to make a complaint with OSHA and you need to let your employer know that that is precisely what you have done. Then, if you are retaliated against, you can bring a lawsuit. However, if you make the complaint to OSHA and they do not know about it, then it will be impossible to argue retaliation for protected activity. I just want to add that there is not a lot of information here and I am not certain exactly how the bedbug issue affects your work but you cannot lose much by doing the foregoing.
