Why can't I find a legal malpractice attorney in my area and the few I found just tell me I have a solid claim because I have all I need to prove it, but won't take the case because it's complicated.
What is so scary about suing a "colleague" and a negligent and corrupt doctor. There's money to be made, because all I hear is that won't take it because it's not a million dollar case. I'm not here about the money, I wish I could get my life back but it's not going to happen. I'll I need is for them to take responsibility for their greediness that cause me and my family so much pain....
Lawyers earn their living by identifying viable cases. If nobody is willing to take your case then they likely do not see it as profitable.
answers to questions are for general purposes only and do not establish an attorney-client relationship.
Risking a thousand + hours of time and $$$ in expenses.
I decline 99.99% of them because they are so time consuming and expensive to prosecute. Most have some merit but are not economically viable. Put $50K of your own cash up front for legal and medical experts (essential), lose the entitled attitude and you might find someone willing to invest his time.
Texas voters and government made most med mal cases uneconomical by capping damages. You have to prove both.
