Weve been trying to work something out with our daughter but the father always has to disrepsect me in different ways, we've already gone to court a year ago for domastic violence. Ive tried working part time while him and his family babysit they changed up the plans of who picks her up on my second day of training, that same day i lost my job. That sunday that they drop her off she came back affected with lice and had a fever of 101.4. Wouldnt not except my answer of no that she wasnt going anywhere like that not even for fathers day. His family decided to start being mean cause i had said no.
If there is a Parenting Plan (or other orders) in place, you have the rights set out in those orders. If there are no orders in place, then you have the right to file a Parenting Petition and ask the Court to determine what rights you have and what rights the father has with regard to the child. Otherwise, you both have the basic rights of a parent, and when there is no agreement neither or you has some special priority over the other. You can also ask for child support, which could assist with finding daycare so you aren't relying on his family if they are not going to be reliable.
