I was separated from my ex-wife. 6 months into the separation she was granted a divorce. And a year after she was granted a judgment. I had no knowledge of the proceedings. I was in communication with her and she said nothing of any court dates or cases.
Could be any number of things, from finding out your wages are being garnished to having a lien on your property to having your driver's license suspended to the sheriff auctioning off your stuff. Or it could be none of those things. You need to have a family law attorney look into your situation to find out why you never received notice of the court dates. The longer you wait, the more difficult it will be to have the case re-opened.
