My boyfriend got arrested on two bench warrants for unpaid traffic tickets early this morning at 3am it is now 5pm. The cops got called for something else unrelated and everybody was searched in the database. His information popped up and they arrested him. I was wondering what are the different conclusions the judge can come up with when sentencing him. I know the worse is being jail time but I was also wondering what would be the maximum jail time and what would he have to have done to get that maximum time. I had wrote another question for this but forgot to ask some other questions. I was also wondering if there would be any way for me to contact him while he is in there? Also one last question how long would it take on average for him to see the judge and be given a sentence or let free with a court date *fingers crossed* either for both warrants or hopefully for one judge for all warrants?
Thank you for contacting me to answer these questions. Unfortunately, this is a specific question of Michigan law, not a general legal question. I practice law in Maine. Maine law is different from Michigan law. You should contact Michigan counsel for answers to these questions.
