My husband wants to kick our son out who just turned 16 because he lies and steals from us and his siblings. His also very disrespectful. He's already been through the court system (for over 2 years) and was just released from JJS custody and things are just getting worse. The court won't do anything because he hasn't committed, or at least hasn't been caught, committing any more crimes than the ones hes already been held accountable for.
From what you say, he is a minor and hence still your responsibility to support -- even if you kick him out. If you kick him out, you could be found to be abusing or neglecting him.
Have you worked with DCFS about him being uncontrollable?
