The cop said I refused all the other test but I told him I was willing to do anything else besides a blood test. I had already pulled up to get gas the car had been off for 5 minutes before the cops were even in site they said my licence plate light was out but it was a brand new vehicle and I had previously replaced all the lights. He thought he found prescription meds which turned out to be aspirin. But am still being charges with a Dui or driving while impaired I blew 00s when I got to the police department and when he tested the pills they came up as aspirin so they are trying to stick something on me. Can they do this
Your question is complex and you will need to hire an attorney to help work through your issue. Can the police require a blood test? Yes, under some circumstances like if they have probable cause to believe a person was driving after taking drugs. Many firms, including mine, will do free consultations for DUI cases.
