So me and my girlfriend we're arguing. She was at work crying, so one of the co workers came onto her and kissed her. She smacked him for it. She went straight into work and clocked out. She called me balling her eyes out over it. I understand what he did was sexual harassment. But if I end up seeing him at work im bound to beat his ass for it if the consequences aren't to bad.
That would make you the big loser. In Illinois (even in Southern Illinois) the vigilante always loses. You are “bound” to support your loved one. You are not bound to commit an aggravated battery. You cannot help her any in jail. Dial down the macho and dial up the smart and sympathetic mature partner.
You getting charged with a battery doesn't help your girlfriend. Tell her to file a complaint at work for his inappropriate behavior and a police report for the battery he committed to her. He'll be held accountable and you'll be free to spend the evening with her instead of in a jail cell.
