If a 18 year old is dating a 17 year old in Ohio and one parent is okay with sexual contact but the other parent isn't. What could happen in that situation?
Age of consent in Ohio is 16, no no charges as far as that goes could be filed. I can't speak to how the parent may react otherwise.

I agree that the age of consent if 16, therefore it is unlikely that charges would be filed against you so long as both parties are honest about giving their consent.

The parents could find all kinds of ways to get the 18 year-old charged criminally...if they're really fired up. It's best to wait it out a few more months until the 18th birthday. I know it seems silly with one year's difference in age, but I've seen it happen.
