My mobile home is on someone else's land, that person passed away and I am being told when all is settled the bank will be foreclosing on the land. What will happen? Do I have any rights? The mobile home has been on the land for 22 years and I am the original and only owner of the moblie home and it has been my residence the entirety of that duration.
This is not a banking law issue; it is a landlord tenant law issue.
You are going to have to do something about this unfortunate situation because (unless you have some legal right to remain on the land) the bank that will soon own the land does not have to continue renting the land to you. Your best course of action is to keep current on the progress of the foreclosure and to make it clear to the bank that you are willing, ready and able to continue paying rent to them.
