My boyfriend and I live together and have been for 2 years. He keeps telling me that if we were to split he would get half of everything that was acquired during our relationship even if I pay for everything. He doesn't bring in enough money each month to cover any expenses or any money for that matter. He does use this address for mail but it is only one to three pieces per month. We were considering getting married.
He gets nothing. Not for living together. Do you want to marry this person?????

Insomuch as you are not married, he has no community property interest in any of your property. However, if you happened to have made him some type of promise to give him X for Y, he may have a contractual type claim. If you bought him things as gifts, those gifts are his. The fact that he is making claims of property before you are even married is a giant red flag about him and the tip of an ice burg of the garbage he has in store for you as you get into this relationship any deeper. Best of Luck
