What can I do if I found out that my ex spouse has a bank account that was not disclosed during the divorce proceedings? Also, there were accounts that were in our minor children's names that had me listed as joint owner and my name was removed during the divorce process without my knowledge? My divorce is final so I am not sure what my options are.
This is very fact dependent, you need to meet with the attorney that assisted you with your divorce case immediately. If you did not have an attorney, you need to find one.
The above response is general information ONLY and is not legal advice, does not form an attorney-client relationship, and should NOT be relied upon to take or refrain from taking any action. I am not your attorney. You should seek the advice of competent counsel before taking any action related to your inquiry.
I strongly suggest that you bring this to the attention of your divorce lawyer. Depending on the particulars, your lawyer might be to get this back into court.
The opinion that I express should not be considered to be legal advice that can be relied on. It is based only on the limited amount of information provided rather than doing a thorough review of all of the important information that is required to give accurate legal advice. You should consult with an attorney that has extensive background in the area of the law that your are inquiring about.
