I have a 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman S. The vehicle has been in for MULTIPLE repairs for the same engine leak. The GTU had to be replaced 4 times. I contacted BMW corporate in NJ, and they told me I didn't qualify for the Lemon Law because they repaired the problem. I owe too much to be able to trade with out my payments sky rocketing. The local dealership, Neillo Mini, said that because it is a corporate decision, their hands are tied. This had been an issue for the last 2-3 years. I have all my service records. I am very frustrated, and have small children. I need a reliable vehicle...
Sounds like you may have a "lemon" and be able to force BMW to buy it back. Gather up your repair records and call a lemon lawyer. There aren't any local to Placerville, but most of us work statewide. The consultation and representation should be free of charge, as we lemon lawyers. can use the law to make BMW pay our fees.
BMW does not make any money by repurchasing your car. They sell it at wholesale to dealer and then have to buy it back used, brand it a lemon and pay retail for the pleasure? So, of course they said it does not qualify! I had a BMW case 3 years ago where the mini cooper caught on fire. BMW offered the client (before I was involved) $1,500 IF she bought another BMW product and said, "our warrnaty does not cover fire." Here's a short video on the topic of them buying it back:
Get your repair orders to a lemon law attorney for a no fee review right away!
There is an attorney in not far away in Placer County. Rocklin i believe and lots that travel if needed. Both responding attorneys can handle as well as others. BMW is doing a lot of denials these days. Main job of the person who responded is to prevent lemon law buy backs unfortunately. Good luck and definitely call someone to help.
