We had a bay window installed 6 months ago after a while we noticed the wood sill was turning black from water damage. The company that installed the window fought with us before they met with us and brought the window manufacture out. Both denied it was there problem finally they put a pice of foam under the window and said the damage was from condinsation. The window is getting worse even after there fix
You may have a case, but it depends on the extent of the work the contractor was hired to do. If they were paid to remove, seal and replace the window and the water is leaking directly through the seal around the window then likely yes. You can hire an attorney to send the company a demand letter and hope they are willing to cooperate, if not you may need to file in small claims. I would advise you to contact an attorney for a direct consultation and they will advise you as to you best course of action. I wish you the best.
