x lanlord tring to sue me not once but now twice. Aware of me being disabled on wrkmns comp from the very beginning. Once in jan 2013 for having to terminate my 1yr lease two weeks before my 1yr lease was up. fyi that was set up for week to week rent payments from 2008-09 due to being disabled and due to circumstances beyond my control fyi wrkmns comp stopped checks unjustifiably no idea as to length of time for lawyer to rectify the problem. resident manager was informed and residence was returned in excellent condition no damage of any kind but yet kept my deposit. Second is for trying to make payments the best i could 10$ mth from the first time jan 2013 but with no source of income about $150 only monies from friend and family until i had no other resources and had informed resident manager. Fyi manager had know from beginning that i had a speech impairment susubstained from severing of vocal cords during surgery and preinstructed such /has my cell number to text me and i have hers. Have not contacted me until dec 22 2016. Peminatly disabled fixed income barely make it month to month. Worried about my home/car and mthly ssi being taken from me just for only oweing $1900.00
I would consider contating the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation. It sounds like your income prevents you from hiring private counsel, and this organization does excellent work on landlord/tenant claims.
