I am a studen at university I got injured.
It was raining and I was trying to get to pedestrian cross walk, but slipped on a metal panel that is laying on a sidewalk before the pedestrian cross walk. This metal sheet (it’s covering maybe electrical wires or something else for buildings and traffic lights) is not covered with any anti grid material and when wet worth than ice. (As I unfortunately found out). I have broken ankle.
Its a wide sheet and it’s not on a grass or off the sidewalk
You might have a slip and fall case worth pursuing. We would need to know more information about the metal sheet. Also depends on the severity of your ankle break. Did you need surgery?

If you wish to speak with me, you need to call my office. You can get my contact info by clicking on my profile on this website. I may or may not see messages sent on this website quickly enough, as I do not check them regularly. If you have the type of case we normally handle (which involves serious accidents & injuries, along with other criteria), then you will be able to quickly speak with an experienced lawyer, if you call. My answer to this question is for general purposes only, which I have answered without my knowing all of the facts of your case. However, I cannot give reliable advice without knowing the facts of your given case, during a consultation. Therefore my answer does not create an attorney-client relationship between us. You also should not rely on my answer without speaking to me, as one small fact could change my answer. We are a low volume serious injury & accident firm, whose lawyers have won many awards, and recovered millions for our clients. We provide free and fast phone or live consultations with a highly experienced lawyer, if you have the type of case we are able to accept. We do not handle defense. We only handle serious injury & wrongful death cases on a contingency basis, when another party is at fault.
Seek proper medical care and contact a Personal Injury attorney without delay and discuss the facts. Much more information is needed to establish liability regarding the metal sheet. Take photos if possible of all evidence including your shoes and preserve them until conclusion.
Please reach out and contact me, should you desire more specific, detailed and meaningful legal advice and representation from a 10/10, AV rated Personal Injury attorney with 30 years of experience having resolved several thousand cases worth over 25 million dollars combined.
I'm sorry to hear about your injury. A lawyer would need to hear more facts about what happened. You should definitely consult with a good personal injury attorney to discuss your options. In particular, look for an attorney who is board certified in civil trial law, as this indicates a certain level of expertise in handling cases of this type.
You have a hard injury as the result of an unfortunate fall. Premises liability claims are usually difficult for an injured person to successfully resolve without attorney involvement. With the injury you have I would recommend you seek a consult with an experienced personal injury attorney. Most personal injury attorneys offer a free initial consult.
