I submitted an application for a change of status from B1 to F1...All necessary documents were submitted and including my admissions letter from the college i intend to study with an Eleven thousand scholarship offered to me by the College..I submitted my application in September of last year and was expecting to get a reply before the resumption of the College which is January 17th of this year. I never got a reply from Immigration Office until yesterday i got a mail that my application was denied. Knowing that i won't be able to attend college this past January,i went to the admissions office of the college to have my admissions extended to this coming September. I want to have this decision appeal as i strongly believe this decision can be overturned. I am very much interested in getting the service of any very experience immigration attorney on this who has toll this path before. Thanks!
You have an uphill battle that may not be as hopeful as you expect, especially given the fact (correct me if I am wrong) that you submitted the initial COS documents without assistance of a licensed attorney.
