I am about to server Divorce Summons to my wife. I am quite confident that as soon as she will get that, her parent will try to threaten me by coming to my house or via call. Her father had already threatened me couple of months on phone,I had recording of that too.
I am quite optimistic that he will do that thing again or can even do physically hit me.I understand that in case of physical violence, I can call on 911.
What should be the best option to get rid of this situation?
Although more facts would need to be known, perhaps a Family Law Request For Domestic Violence Restraining Order may be on the table for you...
You cannot do the service yourself; anyone over the age of 18 can do it, or ask the sheriff's office or a process server. Unfortunately, you can't get rid of the situation until you are actually threatened and then you can file a for a restraining order (DVRO). There are free clinics at all courthouses.
First you CAN"T server her. I suggest that you hire a process server or have the sheriff serve her. If you do indeed get threats, then seek a restraining order against them.
