Georgia. I was at a green light in the middle of a busy intersection waiting to turn left. It was so much traffic I had to wait until light turned red before I could turn. I waited. When the light turned redI proceeded to make the left. A vehicle from on coming traffic went around the parked cars and ran the light and hit me on the front end of my vehicle. The officer gave me the ticket because she said her light was yellow.
The problem for you is the driver turning left on a solid green is required to yield to oncoming traffic. Oncoming traffic has the right of way. As such, if there is an accident, the assumption is that you failed to yield.
You should consider hiring an experienced traffic attorney. There may be some additional evidence such as camera footage and witnesses that can help with your defense.
