In 1997 I signed a contract to attend Medical Office Management. I was told at the time that after graduation they would offer free lifetime refresher courses. The Medical Office Management course included Transcription, Medical Billing, Venipunture and Injections, Uranlysis, Coding, Terminology, Vitals, and Front and Back Office... I called to see if I can have a refresher course in Venipuncture, Billing and Transcription. They no longer offer this at the school I went to. It is upsetting because I struggled to pay off my student loan and now that I would like to back into the industry these are no longer offered....is there something I can do about it I feel betrayed because I feel I was tricked as a then a young woman....
Did the contract actually state free life time refreshers? Or that is what you were told?
After 21 years things change...I suspect even if you had a contract it is nearly impossible to enforce and would cost more than paying for these classes somewhere... I wonder if it had any clauses in it that would void this refresher...
