I have filed an "uninsured" motorist claim with. my insurance company through a lawyer. today is the 30 deay deadline. DOes the case open up or what is the next step.
You have an attorney and are asking us? Look the 30 days is a loose time limit for the insurer to respond to the demand. The response can be anything from a low ball offer, to a request for additional medical information. These things drag out and it's best to have an attorney that just doesn't file suit because they didn't like the response. You're contingency fee will go up if suit is filed, so hang in there and stay in touch with your attorney. Good luck.
Advice given in this forum does not create an attorney - client relationship. No advice should be relied on without consulting with a local attorney.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
