I will be scheduling my appointment in Ottawa later this year for my H1B visa stamping .I am curious to know if its okay to get my H1B stamped in canada since i will be a Third country national and this is my first H1B stamping . This is my first H1B stamping and i have transition from F1 to H1B couple of years ago (i came here for my masters). Are there any recent rule changes that prevents this ? If its worth mentioning , i am also a recent canadian PR holder and this is my first landing in canada.
The ottawa embassy website does not mention any exceptions for first time H1B holder regarding the stamping, so i am little concerned .
What are the things i should be careful about ?
A person pursuing H1B stamping as a3rd country national at a US consul in Ottawa should be aware of the possibility of long administrative processing or refusal to process the H1B visa..
